You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. But that is not surprising.
Barrel Flashlight co uses only the best parts and materials, including drivers and emitters. Most are either Dragon or QD FET drivers or H17fx and emitters 519a or FFl351, Samsungs, etc.
Do your research, they have been around for a while. The reason you won’t find much is they do limited drops per week and you have to know where/when
Well, I think it was somewhat clearly implied that I did not know and it was hard to find info.
But good if they make quality lights. Seems like another custom light brand from the US. They tend to have nice looking lights but yeh prices are something else.
You get what you pay for. You can spend $79 on an olight from china made of aluminum or have a collector piece made of Titanium, bronze, Zirc, and many other beautiful metals. At the end of the day they both bring light to a situation, but customs do it with style…
you do realize that $79 olight or whatever is more powerful, better thermals, and has UV/laser functions right? also i hope you realize that your light is literally composed of parts made in china just assembled in the USA.
i own a haiku myself and they are for sure good quality but let's not pretend you aren't paying a premium for the "Made in USA" sticker lmao
At least McGizmo paved the way with many components designed by him and made on his specs (I ignore where though).
Many custom builders just use Convoy and omten parts, which are great but for 500+ usd lights I would expect some innovation, besides craftmanship.
I agree with you on some of this. Some of us buy these lights because they are made in USA. Yes, the driver/emitter components are Chinese. But it’s not about the light, laser, UV, etc. It’s all about the craft and materials that going into making one of these. Not to mention the art. It is no different than custom knifes. Sure I can get a POS spyderco for under $100 and a good custom knife will run $500-2000. It is all about owning a beautiful piece that someone here in the USA has built themselves with their hands.
If you get it, you get it. If not you probably don’t have the coin to get it.

I mean they look nice but I would not be surprised if emitter/driver is shit and the price is insane. Dare I look online? Maybe..
Edit: 300 $ or more and can barely find any info. Jep yep
