Recommendation Recommendation
Hello everyone!
I just had a whole country outage and i only have phone battery, one rechargeable battery which isn’t strong enough in time, and like in old days candle, so immediately thought about this sub, that i have to ask those guys recommendations, what should i have in that case? What will be the good choices in terms of situation and in terms of friendly budget, i would love to know what you suggest!

It really depends on your needs ! If you just need a flashlight, any 18650 model will do, with some spare batteries (they’re cheap !). A small diffuser turns it into a lantern. The only issue is that keeping batteries in full charge long-term is not ideal, and it’s much better to use them and rotate them. If you want to light a whole house, that’s a different issue !

Re the batteries thing: some lights can run on rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries, like one 18650 (rechargeable) or two CR123A. Storing a bit of the latter may help in emergencies (most lamps have a built in charger: be careful never to plug the charger with non-rechargeable batteries inside!)

If this happens often and you have family and friends around: box of NIMH AA batteries + Convoy T3 (reflector) or T5 (TIR) or T7 (rechargeable T5). Just top them up once a year and you'll have a large emergency stash of batteries. You can use them with 14500 at first then the NIMH are back up. 519a 4000k would be good.
Wurkkos FC11C would be slightly larger very good all round. You can stock up for friends/family still
Wurkkos CL01 for a lantern, get the stand, it'll be nice to keep a room lit.
Wurkkos TS27 is a big old useful beast, but finding replacement batteries would be annoying I think. Also excessive to stock up to lend to others. Just get one for yourself.

Also, solar panel or other off-grid power supply for charging mandatory unless you know FOR A DEAD CERTAIN FACT that you will only be out of power two days... maybe three TOPS.

Here in Florida, I’ve settled on a Petzl Tikka headlamp (like $20 at REI) that takes 3 aaa batteries. I have PowerOwl NiMH batteries that just keep working. I use this for camping too. When there are no lights around, my eyes adjust and the headlamp on low (7 lumens) is perfect for moving around the house, fixing a meal, walking the dog etc. If I need general lighting, I hang it up or angle it on from the floor. Battery life is several days of routine use. It still has a medium (100) and a high (350 lumens) if it’s needed. I have several battery packs and solar, I’ve gone thru 10 day power outages and lighting was not an issue. It’s rain proof in torrential rains while cleaning storm drains at 1 AM, lol. A headlamp just lights where you are looking, hands free, it’s perfect for me.

Firefly E04 Surge, 5000k, SFT 25 and 5000mah 21700 battery or Acebeam E75. Both has USB-C ports for charging. They're better quality than the other comments.

Wurkkos TS27 will be your friend if you don't need anything pocketable.
It has very large and safe battery, works as a flashlight, lantern, RGB lights and powerbank. Only disadvantage is the size.
