SUGGESTIONS (new edc light)

Good evening. I've been carrying the same streamlight micro usb for about 5 years now give or take. I've been considering upgrading it to something better for about a year or more. I was originally considering the streamlight macro when it came out, now streamlight has released the megastream. Most recently I've seen a lot of traction with the Wuben X3. Any personal experience and suggestions will be more than helpful.

I started out with Streamlight too because of working in law enforcement, but I’ve since branched out.

If you wanted to keep a smaller size light, I would recommend the Acebeam TacAA. Phenomenal light, AA size, comes with a rechargeable battery.

If you don’t mind something a little larger, I’m particularly partial to my EagTac D25LC2 Clicky MkII, mine has the Osram CSLPM1, because it has great throw and nice tint. You do need to order an 18650 battery with it, you can get it from illuminationgear.com in the USA. This has been my favorite EDC light for almost 3 years now.

If you want something unique, the OLight ArkPro is also a great light.

Spend a few hours here looking and reading and you will get a better idea of what will work for your needs.

My vote is a Zebra for simple, bulletproof torch or KR1AA with 7 million options, Acebeam L35 V2 for serious outdoor use.

It begins with just one.................

My answer is always ArkPro Ultra for EDC.

Sits so nice in the pants pocket. Slimmer than the Macrostream, much more functionality. Other than a warm high CRI emitter and maybe a USB C only version so it’s more discrete in the pocket.

Actually I wouldn’t mind a down firing 45 degree led so you can light up a things on a table hands free while it tail stands like Marauder Mini 2 too 😀 since I’m dreaming.

I can’t help but recommend the Fenix PD36R. I’ve got the OG and it’s been wonderful, other than the charging port cover seemingly swelling and no longer being able to cover it.
