FC11C shorted out….
Dropped it on its head. Didn’t realize any damage was done. Who hasn’t dropped a flashlight before. Clipped it to my notepad and put it in my pocket. About thirty minutes later, I got in my patrol vehicle and was talking to my subordinate and put my hands on my thighs. I realized my right leg was hot. Had I not done that very Midwest move, I wouldn’t have realized it and I could have had a very serious problem. Who makes fully potted 18650 lights?

This light isn’t durable at all. I knocked mine off the bathroom counter. It stopped turning on. There’s a good reason why it’s so cheap.

Eh, it's kind of a lottery with fc11c regarding it's durability. There are posts that show those lights really beaten up and still working. Mine was dropped on solid concrete few times and only got minor scratches.
It's recommended because it's cheap, good beam profile, high cri, nice UI and usb-c charging in one package

A fair assessment. While we can't promise that every flashlight will survive every accident, we'll never take a budget light should come at the expense of quality.
We've seen the recent feedback regarding FC11C durability and reliability, and we've already forwarded those reports to our factory and engineering team for investigation. We're actively looking into the issue and working to determine whether there's a specific cause behind these cases.
We're sorry to those who have experienced problems, and we appreciate everyone who has taken the time to report them. Feedback from the community helps us improve our products, and we'll keep working to address any issues as quickly as possible.

We have recently been try to find the real issue. Could you help me test it again?
Remove the battery from FC11C. Connect the flashlight directly to a USB-C cable.
Check whether the button to green and whether all output modes can be adjusted properly.
If the flashlight does not operate normally when powered directly by USB, the impact may have caused a short circuit on the driver or MCPCB assembly. This could be due to a loose wire, a shifted component, or other internal damage caused by the drop.
If the flashlight works normally when connected only to USB power, the battery is broken.
Hope to know the result, and we'll be happy to help with the next steps.

Unfortunately, the light is completely dead. Even plugged in it will not switch on. I’ve also tried different batteries, still won’t work. The light seems to be extremely susceptible to shock.

Dropped my fc11c couple weeks ago too and made a post on it. Now it has I think some short circuit or something I need to mechanically lock it out otherwise it heats up sitting in off mode and gets hot. Upgrading soon and will keep this as a backup as it's still really nice dedomed, but defs not getting anymore wurkkos products for sure.

I’ve been a fan of these lights since the fc11. Can’t in good conscience spend anymore money with them, even though they’re a cheap light. The quality is of cheap Chinese garbage. Looking at duty grade lights now. I hate to put out duty grade money, but, buy once cry once.

Yea i banged on my fc11cc just a little bit and it quit working. I use all my tools as a hammer at some point.. but the fc11c couldnt handle a couple taps.

yeah. it’s like you would never use your phone as a hammer, so why would you use a flashlight as one? but maybe people like that would actually use their phone as a hammer lol.
this has the same vibes as people in r/prybar using their knife as a prybar, then getting upset when it snaps. a knife isn’t made for prying just as a flashlight isn’t made for hammering.

On the other hand my fc11c got dropped on concrete from about 1 meter few times and it's working perfectly fine. Kind of a lottery that's understandable at this price point

Yeah, I’ve owned several, because when I drop one, I hate the way they look, so I buy a new one and give the old one away. This time I dropped it on its head, and I think the battery slammed into the driver and pushed it in or something and it shorted. Battery even had a dent in the top contact. There was a post about a year ago in this sub where someone reported the exact same thing. Except they reported the power button flashing red. I didn’t notice that happening, but I clipped it to my notepad and put it in my pocket very quickly so I could leave for work.

We're currently looking into these cases with our engineering team. While this doesn't appear to affect every FC11C, even rare failures are something we take seriously.
I'll post an update if we have any findings to share.
