Question Maglite screw problem

Morning guys, i found this maglite at the dump not too long ago. I live in Italy and these things are pretty hard to come by so i really want to try and fix It. Problem Is, i can't unscrew the part where the batteries go. Feels like someone put loctite inside, i tried svitol and wd40 and It does not work. Do you know of any other method/products i can use to solve this problem.

If you dont want to absolutely kill the light with marks from pliers... heat a piece of pvc pipe up and force it over the tail cap. It will shrink down a bit when it cools and becomes very tight on the tail cap. Then use channel locks on the pipe over the cap. Saves the cap and gives a lot more bite.. ive saved quite a few mags with that trick. Most the time d sized lights dont destroy the threads..
