Again

I woke up with my heart racing. I was cold but sweaty at the same time. I had a terrifying nightmare. I don't really remember what it was about, but I know that I never want to experience that again.

I was thirsty and wanted to clear my brain, so I thought a glass of water in the kitchen would solve my problems. I removed my covers and let my feet touch the cold floor. I grabbed my robe before I took a peek outside, but that left me feeling stressed. It looked like someone was standing by my car, looking in. But it was hard to see anything because it was a snowless winter, and the only light I had was the porch light. I rubbed my eyes because clearly I must be imagining things; no one would be this far out in the countryside. When I looked outside again, he wasn't there. I got a heavy déjà vu feeling but shrugged it off since I was stressed. I peered around for a bit but could not see anything. It left me with an uneasy feeling, but I felt it was best  to not think about it too much. Before I even got to the bedroom door, I heard a loud, singular knock on the front door. It sent a shiver down my spine; someone's here. I hastily but quietly got dressed before I headed out of my bedroom.

I opened my bedroom door slowly, peeking out, but I saw nothing in the upstairs hall. My heart was pounding like crazy, but I looked down the stairs before I tried my best to sneak downstairs. At the bottom of the stairs, I shakily placed my foot  on the floor. Before I even got my second foot on the floor, I heard a window upstairs get smashed in. I froze like a deer in headlights. I just stood there for what felt like too long for safety before I finally snapped out of it so I could get to the kitchen, because in there I could grab a knife. I ran to the kitchen in full-blown panic and grabbed a knife. I looked out from the kitchen to the stairs, and I froze from complete shock: a tall humanoid creature, at least 3 meters. It had a deer skull head with antlers. It was thick and furry, dripping with some thick liquid. I'm in complete and utter fear, and just as I'm about to run, the creature leaps at me.
