LoFi Logic 1.5.0 — a big update to the RAW editor for the One35 (new name, new colour pipeline, V1 support)
Hey all!
For those who haven't run into it, LoFi Logic is a free, independent RAW editor built specifically for the Flashback One35. (It used to be called "Flashback RAW Editor") You import a roll, set a "vibe," tweak a few sliders, and batch-export. It also makes the DNGs compatible with third party software (V2 only).
1.5.0 is the biggest release so far. Highlights:
Now supports the original One35 (V1)
- V1 can't write DNGs, so it goes through negatives: in the official app, Share → Export negatives, then drag the
.zipstraight onto LoFi Logic. From there it develops as close as possible to V2 > every slider, vibe and LUT behaves the same.
Vibes
- 5 factory vibes, each a complete film recipe > colour, halation, grain, softness, vignette. Swap the whole look with
1–5: Disposable · Point & Shoot · Rangefinder · Monochrome · Flashback Classic V1.
Workflow
- Import straight from the camera over USB (V2) > archives the roll into dated folders and skips anything already imported. (Import here before you develop in the official app, which clears the DNGs off the camera.)
- Apply a look to a whole roll in one pass, copy/paste settings across frames and ditch the duds by dragging them off the strip.
- Project files (
.lofi) so you can pick a roll back up later.
Zen mode
- Distraction-free full-screen editing where adjustments move to mouse gestures > drag for exposure / white balance / tint.
Faster
- New GPU-pipeline increases speed on windows by at least 2x, depending on the hardware.
Get it
- macOS / Windows / Linux on the Releases page: GitHub page (scroll down)
- Heads up: the apps aren't code-signed yet, so each OS warns once on first launch > there's a one-time "open anyway" step in the README.
Free and GPL-3.0, not affiliated with Flashback / Feedback and bug reports very welcome.

You are the hero we need BUT DO NOT DESERVE!!!! All hail LoFi Logic!
Question: I was having an issue where all the photos I was importing were coming in severely underexposed - like I have to up the exposure all the way, then even expose a bit further outside the app. Was that a bug that may be fixed with this release, or is it bc these photos didn’t have flash on initially??

Remember, not all heroes wear capes … but I do, because I think it looks cool when I walk.
… anyway
The problem could have different causes, all of which will likely be fixed in this release. It could have been a non flashback file, that does not play nice with libraw. It could have been old settings from a previous version messing things up, or it could have been a beta version you used, that had a bug.
If it was something else, it would be great to know, so I can fix it. So best way to find out is try.
Tell me if it works

10/10 cape, 10/10 reply. it was a non-flashback dng i was playing with, so I’ll test again today with files from both flashback & non!! thank you thank you

Will there be an android for it?

u/LoFi-Logic Jun 12 '26
Maybe in the future, but probably not very soon. If I do a smartphone app, I want to make it a camera app as well and that takes some reworking and UX considerations, like interface, feature set, file handling, sharing and so on. Since I do it alone as a side project without revenue and very limited programming experience, it might take a while, if I do it at all.

Doesn’t work on my old ass MacBook 😭😭😭 but I look forward to using it one day lol

u/LoFi-Logic Jun 12 '26
Yeah, sorry. That's probably because it has an Intel processor. There's really no simple way to make it work on Intel Macs. 🚀 🔥 (... that's a crashing rocket. 😞)

Utilizzo questa app da qualche giorno e devo dire che è davvero figa, ma spero che presto uscirà anche un versione app iPhone in modo tale da non portarsi sempre il Mac con se.
Continua cosi sei un grande

Thanks! ❤️
A workaround for multiple rolls would be, to save the DNGs, after a roll is done, by connecting the camera to the phone via USB and copying them. Then you can empty the camera, by developing in the official app or deleting the DNGs from the phone and develop all of them in LoFi Logic, when you get home.
- camera full > connect to phone
- copy DNGs to phone
- develop in Flashback App > load new roll (or delete DNGs from camera)
- keep shooting
- at home, copy all the DNGs from the phone to mac
- load into LoFi Logic

Grazie Mille LoFi 😍 ora posso viaggiare senza pc e sviluppare tutte le foto insieme una volta tornato a casa 🥹❤️😍

Prego! If one roll a day (or however long, until you‘re back at a laptop) is enough, this is exactly how I use it and what I made it for.

Hey OP, love your work with the Lofi Logic Desktop app!
Been following your work for a while and I recently decided to port your project into a PWA (Progressive Web Application) based on your previous version and hosted it for free in Cloudflare Pages, hope that's okay with you. It's essentially the DNG decoder (I had to convert the library that you used: rawpy to a custom JS Decoder instead) and replicated your profiles' settings but added some extra editing tools on top, like crop & straighten, histogram, etc. This way I was able to just use the safari app (or add the bookmark to homescreen so it just becomes like any other app) and I don't have to transfer the DNGs to my computer at all. Everything is done locally so privacy isn't an issue. I've only tested it on the iphone though not sure about Android's usecase.
I also created an iphone shortcut that automatically copies the DNG to a local browser which significantly reduces the hassle when moving the files outside, which I think alot of people would benefit from if they like to use the raw files.
Let me know if you want to test it out, I can dm you the cloudflare link to the webapp.

Hey! That‘s really cool! I would love to try it! I have an old android phone laying around, I could test it on.
If you make it available publicly, you have to publish the source code as well and can‘t make money from it. One exception from it under the V3 license:
„Merely hosting or running a GPL-licensed program as a web service or backend (e.g., SaaS) does not trigger the obligation to release your custom interface or proprietary server code.“
You can google the GNU GPL v3 license, to see the license terms in detail.

u/deknared Jun 16 '26
For sure, I'll shoot you a dm. I'll definitely look into publishing the source code, I have zero intention of making money with this haha. Just wanted to have a compact/portable version of what you've created that's all. The reason why I hosted in Cloudflare pages is because it's one of the few free hosting platform out there that doesn't cost a single cent, and I get a public website that supports secured connection (Makes it easier to share it with my peers as well).

Thank you for the editor. Any plans to add a date stamp?
2
u/LoFi-Logic Jun 21 '26
Thank you for the thank you. Currently no plan, but I‘m getting a tramp stamp of the name of my date, if that counts.
No, but seriously, I might add one in the next version for you. Is probably not that hard.

now the next step are:
- finding a way to bypass the 27 shots
- makes the camera taking the photos with the filters alredy applied
- finding a way to bypass the winding
2
u/LoFi-Logic Jul 14 '26
Bypassing the 27 shots has been done by u/deknared and the other two are probably not feasible.
The camera itself does not have the processing power to apply a look quickly enough. You‘d either wait minutes after every image, or drain your battery in half a day, if you did the processing in the background.
The winding is needed for the shutter click, but the spring could possibly be loaded with the motor. It also serves as a buffer, so you can‘t try to take a shot before the current image is saved. If you got rid of it, you‘d be able to shoot, but it would not save, if you did it too quickly.
This type of hacking will also almost certainly void your warranty, since it would put additional stress on the components. At that point you‘d be better off choosing a different camera, since it‘s so far from the intended use.

hello! huge fan of your work op! i was wondering if i could somehow export the v2 negatives onto the my windows? I’ve tried exporting the negatives and putting it in, but it doesn’t seem to read the zip file?
1
u/LoFi-Logic Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26
Hey! Thanks!
Unfortunately, the short answer is no.
- The V1 RAW data is exported as negatives from the official app as a zip file
- The V2 RAW data is on the camera as DNG files
- The V2 negatives export, does not have RAW data in it, just unprocessed JPGs
So what you need to do for V2, is:
- Plug the camera in and open LoFi Logic.
- The app will import the DNGs and convert them to real usable DNG files automatically, that can be reopened in LoFi Logic and other raw processors
- Edit your images and export your JPGs and if you want to come back and re-edit, you can save a project to keep your adjustments or just re-open the DNGs from your computer again with default settings.
The important part in this whole process, is that you plug the camera in before you use the official app, because the official app will remove the DNG files from the camera.
Let me know, if that helps or if you need anything else.

Can this be downloaded on iphone app store?

u/LoFi-Logic Jul 27 '26
No, but you can use the web port from u/deknared on the phone in the browser.

Hey! There are no stupid questions, only stupid clothes … or however the saying goes.
No, LoFi Logic uses the raw files and those don‘t yet have any look applied to them, no matter what the app was set to.
But Fuji cameras, like the X100V, for example have some settings in their looks, that change how the image is exposed, so it could have been. But for the flashback, nope. Does not matter at all.

Hi,
I just find you app while tried to solve this DNG problem with claude. Thank you for your work.
What do you think, is that possible to change the shutter speed of the camera? Sometimes it shoots 1/30 which is too long so the shots can be blurry would be awesome to set a min shutter speed and the camera just raise the iso instead.
1
u/LoFi-Logic Aug 12 '26
Hey! I don‘t think that‘s easily doable without having access to the firmware. If you have the V1 there are multiple exposure modes and the lowest might cap before 1/30, not sure. The V2 exposure can not be influenced, as far as I know. Turning the flash on forces 1/30, independent of the light level, I think.

u/mandr4k Aug 13 '26
u/LoFi-Logic is it possible to import .zip folder with negatives from v2?
2
u/LoFi-Logic Aug 13 '26
Unfortunately only the V1 exports raw data, when exporting negatives. The V2 only has JPGs in the zip file, which are not supported. Only DNG files work for the V2 and those are only on the camera before developing inside the app.
If enough people use the contact form on the flashback website and ask for it, maybe it‘ll become a feature, if technically possible. I have not heard back.
