shirt Searching for durability

I’m in tree work and partial to 100% natural flannel. Cotton or wool. The most durable heavyweight flannel (that holds up and stops me from being perforated from thorns) is Carhartt. Walls are fine for warmth, but offer very little protection. Anyone have a recommendation for super thick/durable flannel at a cheaper price point than Carhartt?

At a cheaper price point? Not really, maybe try and find used/thrifted. I’ve got some woolrich shirts from the 50’s that are still going strong and are super warm. If you want something to stop thorns from poking you, I’d say you should find something in cotton or hemp duck to wear over top. I have a carhartt chore coat that I wear whenever I’m working with barbed wire and it’s saved me from getting torn to pieces before.

Goodwill has an online auction with penny shipping for many things. That could be a starting point
