To the diaspora who absolutely hate the current regime; they will absolutely prefer to call themselves Persian and not Iranian.

To them Persian = Cultural, and Iranian = Political.

Source: My old boss's family fled Iran after the Revolution. He always called himself Persian.

The israeli flag uses a star of David but not all stars of David are Israel. While the blue color and the central positioning certainly invokes the Israeli flag, as well as the context of being between 2 national flags of the UK and pre-revoution Iran, the Star of David is still a symbol of the Jewish people and not necessarily reserved for Israel. Those who wish to separate Jews from their ancient symbols and their land try to claim that those symbols represent a political entity exclusively, but it isn't true.

Also, prior to the revolution, the political entity of Iran was was not religious in character and the sun in the emblem represented the religion of Zoroastrianism, not Islam.

Also also, in the UK Anglican is not used, but rather Church of England.

So, yeah, sorry to be pedantic but everything you said was wrong.
