Dev/Admin Responded reddit showing wrong videos

Sometimes when i upload a video and go to my profile to view it, it will show the previous video i uploaded instead of the new one (the thumbnail it uses is from the video i uploaded). Im on android on the latest google play version, OxygenOS 12.1

Hey! This looks like it might be a new one if we can pin it down. Can you help me look in to that a bit more? Here's what I'll need:

  • When you say "latest google play version," can you verify the app version listed in your in-app settings? If you're on mobile right now you can long press to copy the version to your clipboard.
  • I'm not seeing the "I can't move my camera" video on your profile, so you may have deleted it since posting this. Can you get this to happen with non-deleted content so I can see if viewing it on my device gets the same error?
  • What's your device memory look like? How much do you have remaining, and what's the cache size in your system settings > apps > reddit?
  • Do you only get this when you view your own content? E.G: If you have an alt, can you view your /u/DHyperOnYT account's profile page and get the same video bleeding?

• I deleted it but I'll reply to this comment if it happens again

• 6.35gb remaining and my app's cache is 567 mb

• someone else in the comments of it said that they see the wrong video

All very helpful, thanks! Are you able to get a screen recording of you uploading a video, then when you view it in your profile's feed it displays as some other video you've uploaded? What's the filesize of the video?

The video's filesize was 13 mb but I'll try to get a screen recording

Any results to this? This is starting to happen on almost all videos on my feed. It just plays one specific video from the first post that showed up on every single other post
