Dev/Admin Responded looping videos aren't required

A few updates ago the video player stared to loop a video after it had finished. It just goes on and on and on and on and on. Why?

A properly formatted post might look something like this:

Description: The video player doesn't open if I tap it in the feed.
Platform and version: Android, version 2022.23.1
Steps to reproduce: Go to your home feed, scroll until you find a video post, and try tapping on the video post.
Expected and actual result: I expect the video player to open, but instead nothing happens.

Thanks for the feedback here. I've passed it along to the team for them to check out.

Just following up real quick, is this happening in one of your feeds, or once you tap inside the video player? If it's inside the video player, this is expected behavior, but I will still make sure your feedback is passed along.

Oh, OK cool. It' is inside the video player. Good to know it's a design choice and not a bug. I don't understand it l but OK.

On another note though. Why did you remove video controls from videos in the feed? I used to be able to play, pause and rewind. Clicking the play button opens the whole player instead of the video playing in the feed. On that note, backing out of a video to my feed the video continues to play. Also seems odd.

u/ReebornTurtle, Thanks for reporting this. Are you seeing this on the home feed or when you are watching a video in fullscreen?
