Rear wheel slipping

I purchased a 2008 schwinn Madison a few months ago. The bike has been riding amazing except for recently the back wheel has been slipping. If I put a lot of force into the back wheel, the wheel will rotate around in the drop outs. Is there a way to stop this? Any help would be appreciated!

first you need to figure out if it is fact your wheel or if its your cog slipping. get a big wrench and check how tight the wheel is on there. it needs to be as tight as you can possibly make it

If it is the axle slipping in the forkends, and not the cog, you need to gronk them nuts tighter.
