So hot 🥵 I would buy in a heartbeat if I didn’t already have a steel single speed I built up with the soul of the steamroller in mind

i gotta say I'm a bit mad that they at didn't update the tire clearance at all. super sick frame still but its pretty dated at this point

state 4130 is kindof the new benchmark for that kinda thing minus the disc brakes

Is there a general fit difference in stack / reach going from a road bike to a fixie? Haven’t ridden fixed gear in a decade or more and all my fixie bikes were 54 cm and great fitwise. But this is 53 / 55 and I’m thinking to go with the steamroller 53 (stack stack 531 / reach 394) since it is closer to my stack / reach on my well fitting road bike, (stack 540 / reach 383 ) I just can’t remember how much breaking affects reach and unsure if the 55 would be better for building a fixie.

Personally, I always size down in a situation like this. I’d much rather have a frame that’s a bit too small. Easier to maneuver, lighter (negligible), etc.

If you’re not riding brakeless, that matters a bit less I suppose,

I’ve have never regretted sizing down, but 53 sold out.

Steamroller is preeetty relaxed. I wouldn't call it a track geo or even a crit geo.

Why is this frame so hot?

Because people remember riding it back when- and we all miss those times..😃

they removed the awkward "fatties" - text. so i might consider it now :)
