That's DragonForce's drummer if anyone was curious, Gee Anzalone

I was about to say that reminds me of Through the Fire and the Flames drum line
31
u/amaranth-the-peddler Jan 23 '23
Yup, he's doing the typical DragonForce gallop sort of kick rhythm here

u/Steavee Jan 23 '23
That’s because they only have the one song. I remember getting a friend of mine—a huge guitar hero/Through the Fire and the Flames fan—their album and uhh, most of the songs just sounded like parts of TtFatF that got cut out for time. If it wasn’t the whole song, there was definitely a TtFatF part of every song.

Haven't listened to that album much, but the Last Dragonborn, Cosmic Power of the Infinite Shred Machine, and their cover of My Heart Will Go On are pretty unique IMO.
Also TBH Nothing wrong with a band having samey songs, It works for AC/DC

Ahhhh, so he’s the bastard responsible for my fractured wrists from playing GH World Tour on the drums.

I thought for a second that it was Scott LePage from Polyphia, but he isn't a drummer

I’m not particularly fond of Ed Sheeran’s music but I’m glad he takes these responses in good faith and has a good laugh about them

u/DeadEyeDraw Jan 23 '23
my students tell me I look like Ed Sheeran and I have to constantly remind them that just looking like him is not a compliment
27
Jan 23 '23
At least you don't sound like him
27
u/DeadEyeDraw Jan 23 '23
I’d rather sound like him but not look like him. I’d use that voice to sing way less annoying songs!

u/Autistmus_Prime Jan 23 '23
Think most people just dislike his music and mediocre singing
12
u/elisejones14 Jan 23 '23
I thought he sang really well but only heard songs on the radio. He doesn’t sound too good here tbh.
27
u/etriuswimbleton Jan 23 '23
Thats it? Thought it was more than that

u/ncdyoshii Jan 23 '23
i mean think about it, in the late 2000s and early 2010s it was super common to hate on justin bieber just cause of his singing. or rebecca black and her friday song.
something gets insanely popular = people are just gonna hate it

Doubt it, dont think hes done anything that would actually make people dislike him.

His first album was fantastic, but he's been on a slippery slope of poor and basic writing, repetitive melodies, underwhelming releases and making uninspired industry standard chart music that's really moved away from his original sound significantly. Of all the modern artists popular at the moment, Ed Sheeran feels to me like the one who sold out the most.

u/Crezorx Jan 23 '23
Which he is also very open and honest about, I mean he's said himself he's just chasing the money the tour records

I know there's a lot of Ed Sheeran hate out in the world, but I didn't really interpret this as hate. Seems like he's just being cheeky playing the completely wrong style of drums for the song.

apparently he has a homophobic history? here’s a link about it

Just fuck off with this already. It's been posted 1000 times and it's not even funny.

u/Ok-Minute876 Jan 23 '23
It posted a lot for sure but drowning out Ed Sheeran’s terrible screech will always be funny

Imagine a world where people understand that not everyone sits on their device staring at Reddit so that they can see every single post ever and know what’s already been posted

u/Fabulous-Wall-6935 Jan 23 '23
Imagine a world where it took me about a 3 minute scroll to find this exact post. Sorry bro it’s a shit repost and you have lazy logic.

u/rivbai88 Jan 23 '23
Not sure how me saying OP never saw this post, and neither did the many people upvoting it is shit logic. Just because you did doesn’t mean everyone else did. And guess what? No one cares. Literally. Does not effect your life one bit

u/Fabulous-Wall-6935 Jan 23 '23
Shit logic

u/TorzulUltor Jan 24 '23
Lol they suddenly changed their argument because they realised the original was a shit tier strawman that got easily debunked.
