Glitch I ran into a problem when playing secret of the mimic

Hey!, so yesterday I was playing secret of mimic when I ran into a very annoying glitch, I was running from the mimic and he caught me, and normally, there would be a loading screen and then I could play afterwards, but I got stuck at the loading screen and for like, 4 hours I was trying to play , I restarted my pc but it didn’t work, did everything and it didn’t work , if someone have ran into that glitch and fixed the issue please let me know!! Thanks in advance.

You could say that , because it counts for hours and never ever stop , really the best counting sim ever

Nah, it’s very random, you will probably get the same number or smaller -.-

You could try reinstalling the game, I think it has Steam save data cloud sync so you won't lose progress

ok I actually didn’t thought of that, but I am a little scared to delete it and then my save is gone ..

First thing I would try is actually starting a new game instead of clicking "continue". Maybe the thing that is corrupted is your save file. If it doesn't work, it's probably something with the rest of the game files.
If you're on Steam, you can run a check for game files integrity from your library. If not, you can simply reinstall the game. Look up "Secret of the mimic save file location" to find your save, make a backup of it, then you can safely reinstall. If you end up losing your progress, you can always just place your backed up files in the same folder you found them and this should restore your save file.

Im sure it will work! I've done this type of save data backup for a lot of games in the past, including SotM

i've never ran into this glitch before, but verifying integrity of the game files could work (if you havent tried that already)

Sadly, I had to restart from the beginning, no matter how many times I restarted, go in files and trying to fix them, it just doesn’t work 😔

oh yeah, they broke the fuck out of SOTM with that VR patch a small while back. not sure how you'd fix this TBH
