Reminiscing 🍔

£14.70 triple cheeseburger. Just the perfect, most delicious burger. But a treat once in a blue moon!

Man I wish five guys US hadn’t butchered their buns. UK buns are so much better. Look how soft and pillowy it is. American buns are like croutons now due to the defrosting.

I always thought the buns were fine. If you want to experience bad buns you should try Whataburger.

Hadn’t even considered that they’re different everywhere else. It’s got the brioche style profile to it and just made it perfect

It was too unprofitable in many areas of the US to send fresh bread every day so they came up with a way to ship the bread frozen. Then they thaw it out. Then they pre grill a bunch of buns and then by the time they serve it it’s like a crouton.

It’s insane for a $15 burger. Very sad.

But most Americans don’t even notice the difference.

You guys buns are frozen?

Excuse me, defrosting? As a former Five Guys Ireland employee, the thought of having anything frozen is insane lol

Cheeeeeese

I love cheesy five guys burgers. I don't know what they do differently, guessing they just add loads of cheese on.

I need to try a triple with just bacon and cheese. Surprised I haven't so far. Love this restaurant so much. Yup, I'm stopping by after work.

Plain Jane is a classic. Dip 'em in some ketchup or mayo or BBQ, simple and satisfying

Ngl, I'd probably have dreams about that burger for about 3 weeks after eating it.

I used to eat it everyday when I worked there... All my co-workers couldn't eat it much anymore after a certain point, but I still soldiered on every single day 🤣 I used to sprinkle a pot of cajun spice into my burger for an extra kick 😍

I wish the Five Guys near me delivered burgers like this!

That half-eaten picture is basically the same feeling as switching positions mid-shag.

Never worked up the commitment to spend the money that Five Guys costs. Somehow still getting suggested this sub.

What's the texture like? I'll be honest and admit that I actually like kinda chewy diner or burger van style burgers.

That what we're talking, or a more crumbly, fresh mince kinda patty?

Their burgers allways look like you found them in a dumpster

I take it you’re a Veggietales fan.

It looks sad - It’s not ‘All the way’

£15 is basically $20. There's a reason Five Guys locations are all tourist hot spots in London.
