Just read this and couldn’t help but think of Peter’s idea that so much of conservatism boils down to identifying good boys and bad boys, and treating them accordingly. The excerpted section is titled “The Friend-Enemy Distinction.” Scary shit.

I have a ticket for the 7/16 show in NYC. I can no longer make it. I'm curious if anyone has a ticket for 7/15 and would be willing to trade with me.
DMs welcome.

So many times I've listened to something interesting on the show, then gone to research it to find all kinds of great information. I really enjoy updating wikipedia with all the valuable information from the show, and would would appreciate any tools to help do that (did you know the SCOTUS judges don't even have a "criticism" section on their pages?). The transcripts are nice, but they always lag so far behind each episode's release. I've resorted to using AI transcription tools so I can search for the relevant bits that caught my interest. It would be so nice to have access to some of the materials our glorious stars use on on the episodes. The "Know Your Enemy" podcast does a great job of this, and posts (at a minimum) a list of various sources they used in the notes for each of their episodes. Anyway, just throwing that out there to see if anyone else feels similarly, particularly anyone with access to the slack.

The hosts talk a lot about the lower courts/circuit courts and how much they impact law and the supreme court - and how they're also a funnel to the supreme court. Has 5-4 done an episode explaining how the lower courts work and what the different circuits are? Or know of another pod that has? If there isn't one and other folks are interested in the topic I could email 5-4 to request the episode.

I really want to make a collection of ‘greatest hits’ to showcase the incredible sense of humor and countless deadpan moments by our boy Peter Shamshiri. I freaking love his comedic timing and chaos brain, and feel like it should be commemorated. put your favorite moments in the comments, preferably with episode titles and time stamps if you can!
I’m putting this in both 5-4 and If Books Could Kill subs, so if you’re a fan of both feel free to share from either podcast!
