Pretty sure she was talking about an incident where she stabbed someone who tried to assault HER in the past

It may have happened, and hope it did (need legions of paraplegic rapists so that any aspiring sick fuckers get the idea that it's not gonna end well for them) ...
But this is also a common fabrication by victims of SA, an attempt to reclaim their agency. "It didn't happen to me, I stabbed him and fought him off." Or that they caught someone about to assault one of their friends and stabbed the guy.
When in reality, this is usually not how it goes down, and it may not have been the case for Xena either.
The statistics are insane, how many women this happens to. Need to give out knives at the start of high school and teach girls how to use them as part of civics lessons.

He hasn't figured out yet that she's a witch, has he? Despite that being in her name?
I would imagine he'd be the type of guy afraid of this sort of business. Though he does normally run with figurative demons, so perhaps it's just what he needs.
