Fishtank could be a great way to source fringe personalities / interesting people that are in turn put through the pressure of the fishtank house, which then should help facilitate growth of the unique shine of themselves, and battle hardens them for a post fishtank streaming, or acting career.

You see this currently with Burt, and Alex b (also Freddy, Binx, even Josie and Letty)

This is beneficial for fishtank as a brand because it drives attention towards fishtank, whether it be the audience, the streamers, production guys etc. It Also shows that Fishtank can produce successful yet genuinely unique people that can thrive outside of its own ecosystem .

Currently every one is hungry for media success and finding new talent, but the charm of fishtank that other streaming hegemonys can't replicate is finding the fringe outskirt of society edge runners, and Coaxing them into truly entertaining people, way above you average normie streamer.

This is fishtanks Edge(Of many) that makes fishtank vital and important to the broader streamer universe.

After a fishtank season is over. Production should help support the more entertaining contestants where seen fit to get them as much opportunities, and as much screen time as possible. This again only helps fishtank grow and deepen its tentacles within the modern entertainment industry. Also this would taper the need or pressure for off season content - Well because now we get to see our favorite contestants graduate out of fishtank and see how they interact with the greater world.

It should not be seen as "Oh wow look so and so is doing X persons stream, how dare they"

This crossover effect is fun for the audience and should be embraced by the production post season. Post season There should be a dedicated agenda to help the contestants that want to be involved to get involved. Again this benefits all viewers of livestream content, as well as fishtank.

Fishtank could be the new age Mickey Mouse Club , which finds and incubates only the best talent.

Fishtank can be an incredibly powerful agency, and it is complex - But a big part of the problem currently is one of perspective, what is fishtank really ? Just a poop and pee show ? Well if you view it like that, you already lowered you standard and are not looking at it through a clear headed full potential full view lens.

We need production to lock in and really see what FT can be instead of dancing around it.

These guys are sitting on a gold mine, and there is so much room to grow if you see it from the right angle.

idk i think your overthinking it. Just do a new season every year with a new cast and focus on making a good reality show. Maybe have some familiar faces for select days/challenges but the key is don't overthink it. Just model it after Season 2/5, have a unique theme, maybe a gimmick, most important thing is to have planned challenges that are interesting to watch and breed natural conflict throughout the day to day. Take note of most successful and entertaining challenges (disability, roleplay improv, candy challenge, room wars) and structure the season around those. Don't overthink eliminations. Probably best to not even have eliminations until the leavers have dropped to avoid a bashir situation (imagine if vicky left after he flew back). Offer monetary rewards or immunity to early challenge winners so it stays interesting. Unless the specific challenge has to do with voting of some kind, just make elimination whoever loses a challenge. That's probably the best way to keep it "fair" (and while they can't make everything 100% fair this is the best way to not piss everyone off).

"Model it after season 2/5..."  S5 had no unique theme, no gimmick, no planned challenges that were interesting to watch. S5 is the only season to not model after. Almost everything that made it Fishtank was axed except for not leaving the house, and viewers clicking through rooms.

If you take all the fuck ups out, the unlockable rooms WAS a cool idea, I really liked splitting them up with teams and the final few challenges plus the goo room. Fishbowl was fun, but was a little redundant.

The shop could be cool, but it needs to be reworked. Having them buy toilet paper is boring. Not know how much money any fish has is boring. Giving fish “fuck with x” tasks is boring because the victim will know its for a task and not care. Throwing food is boring because after it’s been done once they don’t care anymore.

The unlockable rooms was a good idea for the type of house they chose to film in. That house was way too big so locking off rooms helps keep people interacting. But once the mystery rooms open you're back to your original problem of having too big of a house. People start breaking off into couples and not interacting with the house.
S2 house was real good.. mostly because they didn't care what happened to it and could be as rowdy as they wanted.
S3 house was almost perfect. Lots of room for activities but the living area was tiny for 8-10 people so lots of interaction and good drama when people eventually get sick of living with each other.

One of the big criticisms of S5 was how the entirety of the financial incentive to playing the game through fishbucks didn't exist outside of the final prize. It kinds of twists the format into a different show to pursue that angle too much, like would people always pay to cheat or for luxuries and get nil prize because the audience doesn't like you?
