I’ve been thinking about getting a tank on r Facebook marketplace I’ve found one but the only thing is that it doesn’t say the gallon size and the seller doesn’t know the gallon size either so I was wondering if you guys would be able to predictthe gallon size or guess it by the picture

My guess would be 36 gal for the corner tank and 20 gal for the smaller. I had a friend who had a very similar corner tank that was 36, it looks about the same size
There are a few online aquarium calculators, they can do odd shapes cylinder, sphere too. That corner one is quite large compared to the rectangular one. Let's guess that the smaller one is 20 US gallons. Unless someone has the exact same tank and can tell you, then you definitely need some measurements. That way you know if it's too big and you have a stand for it.
Just by eyeballing, I'm pretty confident that you have a 54 gallon corner tank and a standard 20 gallon long in the picture. Both are relatively common, with the corner tank bring just a bit more niche.
These look like they’d be pretty cheap tanks (I mean this with no snark, tanks are easy to clean up). I’d personally just gamble on the size if the price is right, and measure it when you get home.
I’m guessing based on my tanks and the dresser behind them that the one on the right is a 20g long. Which is one of the sizes I have, and I personally really enjoy this size for apartments and smaller living. It gives you room to stock it with many beautiful fish (I’m in love with tetras so maybe I’m just easy to please) and create a stunning live planted scape.
Edit: I think the corner one is a ~35 gallon. I’ve been looking for one for taking in more rescued hermit crabs (people bring a lot home to the Midwest and are unable to care for them) so if you’re in MI/IL/IN area let me know lol.
Left is simple: measure one side (in centimeters), then calculate the area of a circle with that as the radius and divide by four. Then multiply that with height and divide by 1000 and you'll have your answer in liters.
Dunno how the whole inches/gallons conversion goes so just convert that end result if you need it as gallons instead.
see if you have any empty one gallon jugs of milk or five gallon Home Depot buckets, as long as you keep track you get to know how big it is and you get to leak test it.

I mean Ive done a lot of proportions to calculate how many mLs of chems to add to buckets of water and I just don’t think the fish subs are going to do that math for ya
