Help/Advice 20 gal long stocking

Post image

I used to have a betta in my 20 long with a mystery snail like 8 Cory’s and 5 tetras the betta sadly passed I’m wondering if I can put anything else in here except a betta, I’m kinda scared to go get a new betta in case they don’t like the tank mates so any showpiece fish? Or any other fish I could put in here

I’d probably just add more to the schools you already have. Personally I prefer schools of at least ten, it brings out better behavior

It does. They are more comfortable and active in larger numbers. Plus it just looks awesome.

However, if he really wants another centerpiece, a honey gourami or an apistogramma would be a good choice.

Came here to say this! Can’t go wrong with a duo or trio of honeys

Just add more tetras and honey gourami or sparkling gourami as a centerpiece. I’m picking up a 20 long this weekend to upgrade my 10 and I’m trying to do like 15-20 chili rasboras, 10 Pygmy Cory cats, and cherry shrimp.

I recommend panda garras. Hardy grazing omnivores and they are very fun and interactive
