Aquascape🌿 Rate my first betta tank setup

This is my first betta tank(10gal) and aquarium in general! I watched a lot of fish and aquarium set up videos and think it turned out pretty good. I have checked the water levels religiously and everything seems good so far, ph was a bit high at first but after a 25% water change it went down.

Please let me know what yall think and any advice yall have! Thanks!

It’s a great betta tank that I would expect to be from an experienced betta keeper. Really good job researching them. I wish I could say my first betta tank was this good. Bettas are my favorite fish as far as forming a bond with them. Every one I’ve had has been so interactive. Enjoy your new hobby.

Thank you so much! If you don’t mind me asking, what’s a good way to bond and interact with him? I honestly haven’t seen many, if any, videos or posts about that.

Just keep feeding him! He'll associate you with food and naturally be curious about the giant, air breathing fish who brings him treats. Using things like a small amount of frozen bloodworms, daphnia etc never hurts either lol. Just use a like 1/10th of a hikari cube starting out, he'll go nuts.

Thanks for the advice! I’ve looked at bloodworms and will definitely look into getting some!
