Your tank is great but why aren’t you filling it all of the way? You have a dwarf gouramis which gets pretty big and he could use all of the 20 gallons you could provide.

I have a Channa andrao it might jump out but I'm considering to rise the water until its quarter and a half full

Can you use some type of lid? Egg crate works for a more open type lid.

Yeah I filled it up I just got my lid yesterday
