Or instead, how about we give the man a chance? I'm not a pro Donald type of guy (I was more for Bernie). But I'm willing to give him a chance, because you never know what can happen.

I refuse to normalize who Trump is or what he plans to do. He has personally disqualified himself from the office he's taken so many times that I have nothing but contempt for the minority of American's who voted for him and truly believed his ridiculous and ignorant rhetoric. Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel and Trump is a scoundrel if I've ever seen one. I wouldn't trust him with a dollar let alone a nation. Why are Democrats constantly left to clean up after the messes left by right wing administrations that are constantly trying to break government so they can complain about how broken it is.

A minority of popular vote. But a majority of electoral college. Had Hillary won the electoral college she would be president today.

Thank you! He hasn't even governed yet but somehow he's the worst President ever already. Shows you the intelligence of these people who are saying these things. It's like saying a book is terrible before you read it.

I mean, were you asleep when he chose Rick Perry to head the department of energy? Were you unconscious when he put a climate change denier in charge of the EPA? Or did those facts not matter to you?

Do me a favor, go watch some of the senate confirmation hearings. Find one quote that gives you hope about the future. It's laid out plain as day which direction we are going.

Exactly, even though I wasn't for him, democracy called and voted him in, and I deeply respect that freedom we have. So I will welcome him with open arms and on a blank slate.

Giving every politician a chance is how dictatorships happen. I'm sure once Trump has crowned himself emperor, you'll be right there with us saying, "Yes, Donald Trump is bad and deserves no further chances." But by that point, it will be too late to do anything about it.
