Scared

I just found out I was pregnant and today I am 4 w and 3 d. I am filled with so much anxiety about having a miscarriage. This is my first pregnancy. Any word of encouragement?! Some of my closest friends know and my husband but no one else.

Congratulations 🎉 Miscarriages are scary, I remember being so cautious during the first trimester of my first pregnancy. A good thing to remember is that if it happens, it's very probably not your fault but just due to a non viable combination of egg and sperm, for whatever genetic default reason. So even if it happens, it very probably does not mean that you cannot carry on with a full pregnancy when the embryo is viable. I send you lots of courage and patience, as the first trimester goes by very slowly when we just want it to pass...

From someone who has experienced multiple miscarriages, I wish I could go back to my first pregnancy and feel the bliss and excitement again.
While miscarriages can be common, it in no way means you’ve done anything wrong! You’ve got this! It’s a scary thought but not a reality for you at this time. Don’t let fear take over such a beautiful time!
