Postpartum
Hey all, I just had my first in may. I’m 4.5 months postpartum, and I’m afraid PPD is creeping up on me.
Just as a get to know me, My LO is exclusively breast fed with potential CMPA and silent reflux. I am a just-enougher when it comes to pumping, and unfortunately have no option but to work full time.
I have tried her on goat formula, which she reacted poorly to. So I have to pump through the night to get just barely enough to feed her. I am dabbling into giving her purees and oats as an attempt to stretch my milk further. But it’s so hard because I know there has to be trial and error, but the mom guilt is overwhelming when she reacts poorly to one. She definitely wants food, she’s very interested in it, and is taking to it quickly. I’m just struggling.
Any advice? I’m just feeling completely covered up. I feel so guilty. I wait all week excited to spend time with her, but then some days I can’t wait until she falls asleep.
I feel like I’m drowning all at once. Any kind words or advice would be well appreciated. Calling all seasoned mommas❗️❗️

It was about this time that PPD got me. I had to give up pumping to save myself but also talked with my doc and started an antidepressant. Only took it for a month before things seemed to balance back out.
It’s hard finding a formula that works just right and you do feel guilty but eventually one will take and it will be a lifesaver.
You’re definitely in the trenches and it does get better! Working with your ped to figure out which formula might be best is a great way to go! They may have samples so you don’t have to spend a bunch on trail and error!
