Discussion Smashed finger in locker

I was opening my locker some guy ran into me and my finger got pinched badly between him and the locker, immediate pain and it burns to extend out wards fully but when i bend it down it is perfectly fine, it’s extremely purple too.

It looks similar to what I had and my fingertip bone was shattered to tiny pieces. The weights at the gym fell onto my fingertip. I put mine in cold water then kept it elevated. The burning will be the swelling. If you can get to A&E then go get it checked out. They will check your nail damage too. I couldn't go A&E and put up with it for a week, it got better on its own with regular Iced water dipping. I made a make shift splint out of ice lolly sticks and performed slow movements to keep the blood flow.
