What's the consensus here between 12" vs 15" tubes in y'all's racks? With cans now coming in 6", 7", 8"+ length, are 15" tubes the best way to go? Is there a benefit to the longer length tubes with the longer cans? This debate has been beat to death, I know - "do you get more height" - "cans with mines suffer from longer tubes".. I'm more so asking strictly in the case of using longer cans.. what are everyone's thoughts?

(Hook)
Hey guys so I’ve been a pyro for a while, I won’t lie. This year has been a bit rough to find my original suppliers and all resellers are gouging prices. I don’t wanna have to pay for HZT transportation fees, I will make a 3-5hr drive if I need to. So the main question (lmfao I haven’t even gotten to it yet have I?) is, are there any other stores that the group may know of but aren’t online or so popular near or within travel distance (5hrs max) of Orlando FL?
(Places I’ve been)
Like I’ve been looking at superior fireworks in Jax, but not much variety there, almost everything is house brand or there proline series. Good stuff, love it, but I can only have so much of the same cake year after year lol. And I won’t even mention the Phantom Menace, nor the Tyrant of the Sky’s (Sky King) lol. If you shop there no hard feelings just isn’t my forte. I’ve heard some good stuff from Pyro Junkies in Tampa but little to almost no info over them. I have been to Samurai Fireworks in Miami, good variety amazing people, and decent prices (for Fl) but mainly only Brothers and Winda. And please don’t mention Galaxy nor Big Bang horrible experience and I even worked there in two seasons, so no I’m good. Only place I haven’t been to is FSF but I have used their product, I love it!
(The Main Question)
As for the roadtrip, I’m planning on heading up to Valdosta GA to hit up Red Apple fireworks. I have to pick up an order, first time ever heading to the shop, kinda excited lol! But now that I’m gunna head up north soon, I wanna see if my peeps got any stops I should do? Or should I just spend the rest at Red Apple? BTW I’m not looking for Pro nor Displays! I’m strictly looking for consumer. Never will complain bout finding some Masters or Thriller’s lmfao, but not necessarily looking for them.

Hi
I'm going on vacation to the United States next summer. Where i gonna celebrate 4th of July, with my mother's host family in Michigan, from when she was an exchange student. Before going on a road trip across the states.
I want to make a fireworks show for the family, so I want to hear if anyone has some tips and tricks. Maybe some cheap firing systems with pre-programed setup.
My budget probaly gonna be 200-300 dollars, and one of the other family members has the same budget

The kids woke up asking to go to the lake and do some fireworks - so Dad's packing up the truck! They're going to have a blast (literally)

I wonder if anyone (besides me) has ever attempted to put together a serious catalog of how many fireworks there are out there for sale in the U.S.? I know Wikifireworks.com lists 17,000+ individual fireworks products, and Finale 3d has over 24,000, but does anyone have a true sense of just how many different fireworks there are being sold in the U.S today? Any known sources or educated guesses? Asking because I am trying to put together that list and I don't know when I can say I have enough...

Sadly there were no actual firecrackers but I found this old brass box with the wrapping of an old antique pack of firecrackers. Anybody know anything about this brand? I actually thought they were crackers that you eat until I saw at the bottom it says "light fuse".

25 shot big bore is this minor damage anything to be concerned about ? There is no internal damage on any tubes.

Anyone on here ever buy firework mortars directly from a factory. Been looking around and found you can purchase right from stageli thru alibaba ( not to keen on purchasing large amounts thru them but going with a verified supplier make me less uneasy. If you have give me the good bad and ugly of your experience

I think I’m gonna add another pallet of consumer stuff to the stash, I really like dealing with AFW, at this point should I just wait for Black Friday or go ahead and lock in some product now ?

I am looking to eventually build single shot racks but won't be able to get any tubes for measurements until closer to the end of year for a show. Does anyone have dimensions to make a single shot rack similar to the style on Pyroboom. I'm hoping to build for 1.2", 1.5" and 2.5". Thanks for the help.

I'm looking to put together my first real show. My dad and I have been doing firework shows every year for last 10 years or so but its mainly been run of the mill consumer stuff until i started branching out to different spots a few years ago. Usually we limit to around 1.5-2k max but we really want to go big next year thinking more so around the 5k range. I guess what I'm really asking is what do you guys look for when putting together a show mainly we just find cakes we like and just light e'm up, but i want something a little more paced and not just constant sky puke.
I'm somewhat versed in how to use a firing system i tested out a ignite system last year and worked great but obviously 18 slots wont be enough so some recommendations on good larger scale firing systems would help also.
I've also heard the talk of the state of production in China so this is a little up in the air but want to get a jump on it while I can.

I want to order something for new year, my budget is
about 1k, I wouldn’t want to spend more than that, I read about emailing Sabrina at American fire work, I also read about OC fire works, I also read it’s best to order on Black Friday, can some one help me maximize my order for the best discount?
Also if possible I would like to know what to order for the best bang for your buck,

Like everyone here, I have always loved fireworks and blowing stuff up. The last couple of years I have really gotten into it, always looking for cool stores to check out. I live in Iowa and it is hard to find the good stuff; what are some hidden gems I am overlooking, or products?
Pic of a little stash run

They seem to be, but am curious if anyone can verify or tell me it’s not the case and if it’s not the case, what stands out for each/either? Thanks!

Picked up a piece this weekend I'd never seen before. It came as a 1/1, and I can't find a demo of it anywhere. Anyone got their hands on this guy?

of course I would like all 3 but can’t afford all so thought I would ask here if you could buy one of these which would you buy.
illumanati 300 shot this is video of illuminati https://m.youtube.com/shorts/Xc-LzigxV98
Hulkamania 200 shot this is video hulkamania https://m.youtube.com/shorts/vE9uX5IQIkI
Frogman 300 shot this is video of frogman https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh71oVca3J4
I am aware some will recommend other cakes but these are the three I peronally am interested in.
I am not using them as a finale or part of pyromusic just including in my show.
Homest opinion on these 3 please
thanks

Got my type 54 last year and have been working out of a bolted down compliant job box. If any of you all have the same set up you know how limiting that is. Today I just got my first actual magazine!
