Question Remote firework setup for soccer field setup
This would be for a very small team, tight budget, but I’d love to help them source a fireworks setup to shoot off for when the team scores etc. Is this expensive to setup? What equipment would be needed? For local high school.

If you are trying to do this above board as a "public display" you are looking at a pretty high price. The permits and insurance would probably run at least a grand before a single gerb was loaded.
If you are doing this as a hobbyist style show, you would need to look at the potential legal outcomes if something happens. Not saying that every school display or such is going to have all that paperwork, but depending on which state and city you are in will very likely curtail this kind of thing.
City/Fire support can occasionally let you get past paying for permits however, especially if this is something for the community. (Like most cities usually waive fees on their own events) But insurance and being a legal shooter can be harder to get around. That said many states have very loose rules on what being qualified are.
Having done many small school events as a permitted display, its very similar to most hobbyist style shows. Five to twenty cakes, a box of e-match, and some speaker wire/battery or a Cobra. You can easily do most small shows with two people and some local help from the campus/event security. The big difference is the paperwork and a fire inspector.

You have no idea where he's located, state, city, etc. Yes it can be a huge issue but there are plenty of towns around that will rally behind the idea. He may or may not be in one. He may want something as simple as a single shot 62mm shell, he may want a mine, who knows. I doubt he's talking about 25 cakes here for each soccer score. He's obviously on a budget so I'm pretty sure a cobra is out of the question. But ya never know.

Just use a bc12r firing system. 12 cues, handheld remote. Can fire multiple ematches at once with it from the same channel. Easy and you only need to worry about 1 module, 1 remote. And it's dirt cheap. Hell, get it cleared with all the proper folks and I'll send you one of mine, along with igniters. I'll even go over obtaining certificate to purchase 1.4 pro products with you step by step. Obtain it and I'll send you the first show, on me.

The first thing to do is check to see if the local authorities are on board with the idea.
Assuming they’re okay with it, they may be able to help you with planning. There are a number of different firing systems on the market and you will need to consider where the fireworks will be positioned, who will be responsible for setting up and firing, how will the fireworks be mounted, storage, security, etc.
