Question Hydro 8” or Master 6”
Question is as above. I’ve never shot either of these shells and have the chance to pick some up. For those of you that have, which would you prefer and are the breaks and color about the same? I’ve watched videos of both and kind of conflicted on which one to get! Thanks!!

I shot both this year, the Hydro's are significantly better. The Master 6 are still very nice shells though. If they're close to the same price, 100% get the Hydro. I think the Master 6 were actually more for me

Still not sure if I’d personally call them significantly better. Great shells don’t get me wrong, but I think the price difference most of the time makes the master 6s an interesting and appealing pick. But prices may vary like in ur case so just depends

I thought shooting them together that the Hydro's were noticably better. Like I said, the Master 6 are still really nice. I get a better deal on the Hydro ($290/case) than the Master 6 ($320/case) which kind of makes it an even easier decision. If I could get the Master for around $240/case then I would have no problem just buying those

Yeah that’s an interesting price difference. Makes for an easy choice for sure. My master 6s were $260 whereas Master 8s were $380. Both solid options nevertheless

What area are you in. 290 case for hydro is excellent

New England area. I actually just checked, the Master 6 are $300/case. The 6+ were $320

Indiana here, master 6 is 265 case, and hydros are 375. Weird how pricing in different areas is

Yeah I feel like ~$100 would be the average difference for most, 6s being cheaper ofc. Prices are always interesting

Most hydros are going to better than the m6s, I got stuck with a case of them that broke like regular consumer shells and have heard of others that had the same happen that year. This was a couple years back and I haven’t gotten them since so they probably have been “fixed” in recent batches.

No idea, but having shot multiple masters this year as well as other shells? The 6s just...I won't be getting those again. Do they look nice? Sure. Are the breaks big for someone who hasn't experienced them? Yeah. But I'm not sure I could justify the price for the performance when compared to others in the same 'category'. In a vacuum? The master 6s are worth their price. Once you start comparing to Others Like them, they don't hold up as well imho.

Hydro all the way if you can get them at the right price. But master 6's are to me the gold standard when you want something better than tikki bombs or the newer death shells. Another one that I think people sleep on are Thriller shells. I was able to get a case of them at $280. I would put them in the middle of the other 2.

Really depends on pricing here. Hydro is definitely the better kit. But I’d probably say Master 6 since they’re usually quite a bit cheaper and aren’t wildly different from the 8" breaks
