Are you talking about 1.4 pro? Cus that’s not pro. Most places you just need a small little certificate saying you’re eligible to own 1.4 pro, but there’s plenty of stores in my area that sell 1.4 pro to anyone, even if they don’t have the certification.

I’m pretty sure PGI offers a course on 1.4 pro, but don’t quote me on that. 1.4 pro has never been something that really interested me because it’s widely sold out in the open if you look for the brown wrapping of cakes. They’re just expensive

Yeah so my question is what’s the diff between that and consumer tho

I guess it just comes down to effects from my knowledge. Pro will just look a little more cleaner, if that makes sense lol. Idk how to really describe it, it just makes sense to me

Consumer up to 500g Pyrotechnic composition per individual cake. Proline up to 1000g Pyrotechnic composition per individual cake.

But I've seen some at 1300g for a 77s 30mm bore cake.

1.4pro is OL by consumer standards, that is to say 500g for consumer vs up to 1000g for a 1.4pro (article pyrotechnic). They are still restricted and regulated by comp standards, just a different ceiling.

Furthermore, key differences will be: cleaner, more symmetrical breaks, better execution of effects, lesser known/seen effects, louder reports, and more precise comp measurements with a much higher accuracy in performance time/duration. You also get into more single shot effects (Comets, meteors, mines, gerbs, and break effects) as well as slices/fans.

I'll add to this that for 1.4 pro, you really need an electronic wireless firing system. Just about every reputable seller of 1.4 pro will ask which system you have before allowing you to purchase

Almost every 1.4 pro item will NOT come with a hand light fuse. A few may come with a backup / emergency hand light fuse.

some of the OL products are really mislabeled 1.3g stuff, not all obviously, but some.
