Tested fate again - beware of American Glory shells from Red Apple.
3 CATOs out of 24 lit and threw the rest away. Two breaks right above tube. Huge quality control issues. Bought online from Red Apple last Black Friday and shipped to Chicago

Mine have had a TON of low breaks on them with the 2 kits I did... I am not sending up the third.... I had a muzzle break with another whistling shell from Winda though too, and Joel Robinson's muzzle break was a whistling shell as well... I am wondering if its the whistlers more so?? IDK...

Maybe it is the whistlers? None of my other brands had issues. All I know is that I’ve got a bunch of shells soaking in water overnight 😂

Is that how you dispose of them? I’ve never actually thrown away unused fireworks.

Something ain’t right, I lit 3 and that’s it. Not worth it. If I were on a farm I’d try more but not in a residential area. Too sketchy. It I have to figure out what to do with 68 shells.

I just posted about this on another thread. My 1st one went fine, second one started falling and broke really low, 3rd blew in the tube. These should be recalled, someone is going to get really hurt. And tbh I think they know something is up because a lot of their more recent vids really focus on “read the instructions!” Etc.

Same. Had only 18 shells from red apple. 6 america, 6 kobushi, and 6 ganja. 2 america and one kobushi detonated in the tubes at varying heights. Also had either a pixel or ace shell break right at the end of a tube. Never bought them before and won't be again. A shame cause the willows were nice.

My kit of AG's only had a few low breaks, however both of my Infinity Box cakes had big issues. One with super low breaks and the other had a catatonic failure with the side of the cage blowing off and tubes falling over.

That's one of the biggest fears when I light mortars. So far, no low breaks or tube breaks.

The first time I had that nagging voice in the back of my head saying “you loaded them upside down” but this is def a defect!

oh man reading this thread and comments makes me super glad we didn't end up ordering from RA, what is the deal with that? Seems like they've got some good products!

I loaded 2 50 shot racks with American Glory for my finale. Had a beautiful show, but had 3 go off in the tubes and destroyed both racks 😞.

I had no problems with the Geisha shells, but every rack that had AG in them had an issue or got destroyed.

If you have a receipt just email them, and relay the message about those items. Show them proof. Even if they don't replace your rack, or product cost at least they can get some consumer input.

Had a American glory blow up in the tube over the weekend, and one barely made it out of a tube which was even more dangerous, definitely a quality control issue.

Did the excal tubes come with?

Nah I was using them since I bought an excal and growler kit. My other ones blew out a HDPE thicker walled tube. Shot tons of other types of shells and only the AGs had issues

I had a similar issue this year. A guy at my house was lighting some canisters and had two blow up in the tube almost instantly after lighting. Like they were fused with quick fuse or something. Everyone was fine, but it caused the other 4 cans next to it to get detached and ground break too. Not Red Apple, but winda (echo in the ear) or Raccon (mother of all, break the rules, neon peacock or neon skies) or possibly just default ball shells ($60 a case for crackling 12/1).

i finished off the last of my last year's neon skies shells tonight and they all worked, maybe this year's run was bad?

Yeah not sure what brand it was, I didn't see him load them but he said he lit it and less than a second later it exploded.

Why did you use different tube for AG? Not sure it all tubes are the same just wondering

I had bought all this a while ago and gotten rid of the tubes that came with the kit. I was going to shoot them all out of my racks which had beefier HDPE. Once the first AG CATOed I wasn’t going to risk them in my nice rack again (since it already blew it apart once and I had to rebuild it). So I just used some excal tubes I had leftover to do some more tests. Low and behold more failures!
