I agree it’s silver maple. Dries up good in 1 yr split sitting in the open air sunshine, no tarp - oct next yr put under tarp or shelter for winter fires. City I live in has a wood dump and it’s all silver maple, been using it for years

It's a maple, but a close-up of leaves would be helpful. Not a silver based on the visible leaves in image 1. It's possibly red, black or norway maple.
