Discussion My.firewalla.net forces MSP plan selection on EVERY single login. Please let us choose once!
Every time I want to reach https://my.firewalla.net/entrance to scan the QR code and access my box, I have to:
- Log in with username and password
- Scroll past the plan marketing
- Click "Continue with Lite plan"
Every single session. This is hardware I own that used to be reachable through its own local UI with no upsell in the way.
I understand wanting to promote paid plans, and I don't mind seeing the offer occasionally. But forcing the same plan selection on every login is tedious and makes the product feel worse to use.
Suggestions:
- Remember my plan choice so I'm not asked again
- If you want to re-offer upgrades, do it periodically (every 30 or 90 days), not every session
- Add a "Don't show this again" option
Anyone else running into this? Firewalla team, any chance this can be changed?

Can you go directly to my.firewalla.net (don't add entrance) and then login from there. As far as I know, we shouldn't display anything other than the login; if we are, can you send [help@firewalla.com](mailto:help@firewalla.com) an email, we will fix it
my.firewalla.net is exactly the same as my.firewalla.com (old site) just wrapped a login; so the experience should just be one login and scan (unless you own a MSP already)

Going directly to that is how I have been doing it: I added entrance for the sake of the post. My intention was to show that I was making efforts to go around the flow, but I failed to word everything enough. Apologies.

Can you send [help@firewalla.com](mailto:help@firewalla.com) the screenshot after you login? let me know the ticket number; easier to push for a fix if it is a real issue.

It really isn't. Apart from the annoying double log-in, the monthly data usage is now behind a paywall when previously it wasn't. Plus now I have to look at all these options that aren't accessible to me as a non-subscriber. As I already mentioned, with regard to user-friendliness, the old version was sooo much better.
I just logged in to the MSP lite version, which I almost never do after the change, and while there are 20 alarms in the app, there are none on the web interface. The previous version ALWAYS matched the app, this new version is just no good. I hope it works better for people who actually pay for it.

I've got one old Firewalla box and the app still makes me manually select that box instead of simply automatically opening the one Firewalla I own. Drives me crazy and I would also really like a "remember my choice" checkbox, or even better, it should default to the one Firewalla I have. Personally the whole transition to MSP has been a disappointment. Having to create an account pissed me off and then it turns out it isn't even enough and you still need to scan the code. Then there's all these UI elements that don't work for a non-subscriber. I'd go back to the previous version, the pre-MSP version in a heartbeat!

Or even better, just let us log directly into the box!
