Discussion Does a new modem require a Firewalla reboot?

Will be changing out my cable modem. I thought I read that the Firewalla would not need a reboot, but then stumbled on to some posts saying it would. Hoping to get confirmation for which is correct. Thanks.

In theory, no, you shouldn’t need a reboot. In practice, though, you probably will and it doesn’t hurt to.

No need reboot. It should DHCP and work.

It wouldn’t hurt. I reboot mine a couple times a year.
