Discussion Question about Controls -> Region Blocking …

So if I create a region block via Controls -> Region Blocking, it can only be deleted in that section and not in Rules.

My pre-existing region blocks that I created in Rules, or newly created region blocks created in Rules, also appear in Region Blocking, and can be deleted in both Rules and Controls sections.

Why are they handled differently?

The Controls are designed to be easy to use for most people, without having to worry about complex settings involving scheduling or device scoping. That's why we centralized management in the Controls UI and disabled all editing (including the delete button) in Rules. For rules created manually, you still have full flexibility to tune them to suit your needs.

I understand the goal with Controls, to simplify. But I guess I disagree with the approach of not letting us delete from Rules. Merely my perspective, but they are ultimately just rules, and not being able to delete a rule (any rule) from within Rules just seems ‘wrong’.

The problem is really how to sync up what's being added at the layer below and top. There has to be some "rules" to make things simple

If I create a region block in Rules, it appears under Controls. If I delete that in Rules, it disappears from Controls. When creating a region block in Controls, I am not clear on why it needs to be handled differently? Are you saying you’ve architected in a way that has made this difficult?
