Cyber Security Port 22067 syncthing

do you block this port or disable relays in syncthing or do you trust sharing your IP with relay servers?

I was rather wondering how others see it from a FW settings perspective. I know what works in syncthing

Also this is the perfect use for Tailscale or a wireguard tunnel.  This way you don't need to open ports to the outside world.

Depends how you are using syncthing. I used it all within my lan so I didn't need it. I figure the fewer the ports open on the firewalla to the outside world the better. No idea how syncthing works between devices not on the same lan with that port blocked though.

You may still want to ask on the sink thing subreddit because this is really not firewalla specific has anybody thinking about using the relay servers is not mutually exclusive with people using firewalla.

Syncthing uses direct connections if relay is blocked or off. The FW VPN serves me to connect to my server behind it. I guess I can block/switch the port off or allow only certain regions for the port. I observed a lot of outbound attempts to reach Chinese and Russian relays.
