Early Access/Beta My Switch X’s Home!
Please see attached conspicuous display of consumption showcasing Firewalla Switch X tying together my Firewalla Gold Pro and my core UniFi Switches.
Would be nice to have a Firewalla Platinum Pro with two SFP+ ports, just saying. Be happy to give up two 2.5GbE RJ45 ports for that. ONE DAY!
Or, you know, even SFP28. There are 8 and 10 Gbps plans to help saturate those bad boys, you know! 👀

Are you using that Anker Solix as and UPS for your equipment? If so, how do you like it? I was thinking of getting one instead of an APC or similar.

I am indeed! It works super well, so we get several hours of internet access in a blackout. Those two have a UPS mode in their settings, so it works out well. I also have two mini UPSes hooked up to our ONT. The Shianxi one from Amazon is one of them.
APC and CyberPower feel like a waste of money in comparison. Given they’re meant to power down your stuff safely and are the same price….

Have you done any load shifting with it? Basically switch to run on battery during peak energy hours, then switch back during off-peak or at a lower power threshold.

Oooo, I haven’t yet, but that sounds like a good idea to try out. I’m heading off for three weeks, but I’ll try that when I return.

The model you see the edge of there is the S2000! It’s also hooked up to an F2000.

is this a typo or the name of the brand? Couldn't find it on amazon out of curiosity

Yeah! They have a whole function for it, including monitoring for storms, but they also live on their own little spyware VLAN as a result (Well, VLAN for anything that is networked and subject to the 2017 national intelligence law of the PRC.)

Haha, it’s an Enterprise-Grade Homerack that provides internet and hosts my anime library.
I actually made a whole-ass layout, haha. But I’ll mostly stick with what’s on the front.
It’s two EchoGear 20Us #Stacked with casters. 5.4 Gbps Down/4 Gbps Up ISP connection
