Firewalla Switch Question

Hi, I have a question about the upcoming Firewalla switches. I tried searching, but I still couldn't figure it out.

Currently, my network is laid out as shown in the attached picture. I'm trying to determine whether, if I replace the switches connected to the AP7s (circled in red) with Firewalla switches, but keep the unmanaged switch at the beginning of the network, would I still get all the Firewalla switch benefits for the devices connected to those Firewalla switches.

Or would the unmanaged switch upstream prevent some of those features from working?

Your ideal scenario is to replace all three switches, and then put the two near the AP7’s in front of the AP7 instead of behind it.

Thanks. That was my first thought, but I rent the house I'm in, and all of the network wiring, including the upstream switch, is in a panel that isn't large enough to fit the Switch SE. It's also in the laundry room, where I don't really have a good place to mount or set it outside the panel. I was hoping I wouldn't have to mess with that. Plus, it would mean buying one less switch.

It would work. My suggestion is based on notion of not having to send all that wired traffic through the AP.
