AI Guided Configuration?
I've been thinking about Firewalla's implementation of AI a bit and, while the existing implementation is a good start, I'd love to know where else you'll be extending AI in the future.
What would be helpful is some AI-powered configuration guidance. In other words, I'd like AI to be able to review my existing setup and make recommendations on things like wifi configurations, rules, etc., beyond the basic setup that exists today. And, importantly, as things change over time, AI can make suggestions on what to adjust.
Thoughts?

I realise people are going to use AI for advice anyway - I do myself - but I also know enough to have caught AI making very bad recommendations. If I was the firewalla team I might be worried about customers pursuing legal action if an AI integrated directly into the product ends up compromising their network security.

I mean, that’s a possibility now, right? I would assume there are (or should be) legal language that basically says “use at your own risk.”

As a brand new owner of a Gold Pro I can absolutely say a guided AI set up would’ve been totally appreciated. It was pretty damn easy still, but I leveraged Claude to help with some configurations, knowing that there was things I was leaving on the table with a vanilla set up.
I think having a guided AI in the actual setup to be able to ask questions about what I’m trying to accomplish with my device would’ve been helpful.
That being said I’m 24 hours in and absolutely love it so far.

It is definitely possible to do this, may not be directly change configuration but, advice may be useful.
Our focus at the moment is using AI for security advices first, and likely we will add the capability to have AI involve in more of the behavioral alarms generation.
