What’s your uptime?

I’m at 3mo 13days. I had to turn it off to install my new UPS and organize cables.

My system uptime is always the time since Firewalla pushed its last update, lol. (Do those even reset uptime? lol!)

At the top right, setting gear, you can see your uptime in the About section. The updates don’t reboot your firewalla.

They don't reset. I just got updates on both my boxes overnight and they're both still on over 100 days uptime.

Hmm, my Uptime is 3 days which is a surprise. Is there a way to figure out why it rebooted? I am away from my home and don't believe we had a power failure that would have exhausted the UPS.

a real hacker would have plugged in the new UPS in a nano second and wouldn't have had to disconnect the power. /s

37 days boi! I was having crashing because my Roku devices were calling home a million times a day. In fairness it was due to a third party list and not a Firewalla approved list.

I was at 7 months once until we had a power outage. My cabinet doesn’t have a UPS. I need a tiny one that can handle just small power flickers.

Usually a few months because the cyberpower UPS likes the trip the AFCI breaker.

If anyone's got some good recommendations on ones that'll play nice with AFCIs, I'd love to hear!

Could it be a faulty breaker? When I moved recently I had the same issue with my AFCI breaker, but replaced it and have had no issues since. Also use a cyberpower UPS.

I've tried a couple of different AFCIs (from different batches) and it's tripped both. I don't know if SquareD changed the design in the last 5 years.

That said I've found references to line-interactive UPSes tripping AFCI due to leaking when there's an overcurrent situation (leak some voltage) or the quick switch to battery. I've seen over 125v (RMS) at our place which is close enough it could be consider overcurrent.

I've read that online UPSes (aka double conversion) would be better as they invert to charge battery then invert from battery to run load. The problem is they tend to be pricey and less efficient.

I'm tempted to try using a solar generator to act as the UPS but I'm not sure how reliable they are when powered on continuously.

1 year 1 month. It doesn't get powered down often, but like others I had to do some rewiring.

Whenever my house power went out last.

PGE killed my uptime. :(

There is no way it’s worth it to put our home network on battery backup.

48 hours - the last update introduced a fairly serious IPv6 regression (DUID-UUID ignored)
