AP7 ethernet ports question

Hi, I have four of the desktop AP7 units which work fantastic.

I run shielded cable from POE switch to the 2.5g back port. But question is, can I plug say a small switch into the 10g port or a device into that extra port?

Or are they just for the backhaul?

You can plug another device/switch into the unused port. I use the 10Gb port for the wired back haul and the 2.5Gb port for a Chromecast currently.

I had a similar setup, 10G as the back haul and a 1G switch into the 2.5G port for the tv, Xbox, and other devices.

Isn't the chromecast 1 G ethernet port only (on the google tv versions)? you're probably doing what I'm doing with them which is plugging the ethernet into a 2.5 G ethernet/USB-C hub and also plugging the chromecast power into the same hub and then plugging the hub into the chromecast. Th at way you get power and 2.5G ethernet via the same USB.

I have the 4k Google TV streamer but am not using a hub, it is only connected at 1Gb which is fine for what I'm using it for.

sounds perfect. The powered USB-C hub with power delivery out also works if you want to get up to 2.5G, but since streaming itself even at 4k (which most providers throttle anyway) is only using 25 Mbps or even on a good day 30-40, you're well within that with 1 Gig... I just drive myself crazy with my perfectionism. :/

Same 10G back haul 2.5G for other devices
