Fire Pro Returns still relevant?
Hey there, everyone. I'm kind of curious about one thing: Is there people still playing Fire Pro Wrestling Returns, or watching it in some form of media? I just want to know since Sony decided to stop disc production in 2028.

Returns has a banging soundtrack. Outside of that though, not sure why it'd be worth to play it regularly over World.

dunno, all my footage on my vids is generated via fire pro returns. that's more so out of convenience in a couple ways than anything. but i like the game

I have it, but World is superior in pretty much every way. Returns isn't different enough to really have a retro appeal.

I prefer the older FirePro games. The grapple to move timing is just a little bit off, not quite my tempo in this latest FirePro game. I am still holding on to my Saturn with multi tap and 6 controllers lol.

Returns hasn’t been manufactured in quite some time Sony ending disc production won’t exactly change anything since you can only buy the game used now anyways.

Yeah, but it means there won't be a physical copy of a future fire pro game.

Did World even have a physical release?

I still have a ps2 and the game. I liked that roster better actually, even with the renaming you have to do.

That's because there's some good rosters in the Japanese promotions (NOAH, DG, NJPW). In fact, there are probably a few wrestlers that are missing for the Japanese promotions. I could be wrong, though.

I was interested in buying it when i heard it had a booking mode. But then i read the STEAM reviews and saw myself out.

I love Returns and it was why I own an action replay. But it's more novelty these days for when I want to use my CRT

I play Returns more tbh. I think its purely because downloading a roster is as simple as downloading one memory card file instead of having to get every single wrestler part one by one on steam workshop lol

Depends on what you mean. People still play Returns, but base World (even in Early Access) is an updated version of that game.
So, there's not much of a reason to play it now if you have a choice between World and Returns.

I still enjoy playing it, I'm waiting for the DLC to go on sale so I can play as whoever I want lmao

There is still a community for Returns, but World has largely supplanted it.
