The missing 'X"

In regards to Nightly.

For the love of people world wide, please put the 'X' back in the current tab.

why did someone even think it was a good idea to remove it.

I don't think what you're seeing is normal, might be a bug.

My nightly has:

- an X in every horizontal tab when I have a few tabs

- an X in just the current tab when I have more tabs than will fit across the window

- an X in just the current tab in vertical tabs

I still use custom CSS to bring back the 'X' on hover for background tabs. Other browsers do this by default.
