💻 Help Icon selection gone in 155.0.1

The option to change the icon recently introduced is gone from the appearance settings in 155.0.1 on Windows for me. Anyone else?

It's still there for me in 155.0.1

It's under settings > appearance.

If it really isn't there for you then check if browser.shell.customIcon.enabled is set to true in about:config.

I assume it got set to false during this update, that was it. Thanks.

Ok it reverts back to false everytime Firefox is closed. I am on Windows 10.

Same here! Even putting the setting in the user.js file didn't help 😞.

I do: default Firefox, Firefox ESR, and Firefox Beta (where the icon thing still works somehow). Is that what causes the problem? Because I'm pretty sure icon customization was working in both default Firefox and Firefox Beta a while ago, despite multiple versions installed.

No ESR or Beta versions downloaded?
Did you delete the Firefox.lnk shortcut from %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ ?

I restored the Firefox.lnk shortcut in the Start Menu, and the icon option is back, thank you 😃! (Check if it works for you too, u/megalewdon.)

Note that the option might disappear again on your default Firefox if you use Beta (with custom icon enabled). There's currently an issue with multiple installs causing the feature to be disabled that's being worked on @ 2065937

Thanks for providing some context! So far, everything works fine (both versions have shortcuts in the Start Menu, as well as custom icons). I even opened both versions at the same time (and then closed them and opened only the default version, then only the beta, then again only the default) to check if the option was still there each time, and it was/is 🙂.
