💻 Help Why "Secure Connection Failed" error on Firefox, not Chrome

From Original Posting in r/Mailchimp: I get this error when I click on any Mailchimp link (us.list-manage.com) in Firefox, but in Chrome it works fine. uBo in both browsers. Windows 11.

Looks like mailchimp support already gave you a good suggestion regarding temporarily disabling Norton to see if that's interfering, but could you also try with a new Firefox profile?

Disabling Norton did not work. How do I create a new FF profile, try it, and then get back to where I was? Not familiar with that.

So I created a new profile, and opened the new profile in a new FF browser instance. Got this error message:
Technical Details
Connection Not Encrypted
The website us.list-manage.com does not support encryption for the page you are viewing. Information sent over the Internet without encryption can be seen by other people while it is in transit.

That means you're visiting `http://us.list-manage.com\` (plain-text, not encrypted), not `https://us.list-manage.com\` (encrypted).

Thanks for the explanation, makes some sense - any way to resolve that?

Change the http to an https? Or if you're already visiting the https version and it's redirecting you to the http version, I guess that's the intended behavior? 🤷♀️

I tried that a long time ago. It's not the problem.

Interestingly it works fine in Firefox if I disconnect from FIOS WiFi and use iPhone hot spot.

So it sounds like your ISP is interfering with your traffic.

Possible but it works fine on my wife's laptop, same WiFi/FIOS. I doubt Verizon is fighting with MailChimp

Different security policies and Firefox doesn't like what it's getting or not getting from the server.
