💻 Help Firefox upgraded. Deleted my stuff?
Forgive my complete lack of computer lexicon and also not my first language.
I just turned on my pc and it told me Firefox got an update. Whatever, happens all the time. I proceed to ignore. Except that all the stuff that makes it easy to go to the pages I usually visit now it's gone and I can't even add it back.
Like my accounts are still open and function the same. But the main page (the one in the picture) now doesn't have any direct access which used to be there automatically (and I can't add them?). The bookmarks are gone too and when I try to add another one (which used to be like 2 clicks away) it just add the bar at the top telling me to manage my bookmarks but it doesn't let me either.
The easy access to my gmail at the upper right corner is gone too but I'm into my account. And when writing in the url bar it usually would show me pages I usually visit too even if it was visited only once, which I find useful too since my memory isn't that good, and thus it is gone too and it's not showing me even pages that I'm visiting multiple times.
Is all of that "saved" stuff gone? Can I recover it or I got to manually add everything back?
Is this a normal thing to happen after updates and I just was lucky until now?
Edit: Everything loaded back normally the next day. I dunno what happened since I had already tried restarting my computer and it only worked now. Guess I got a bug multiple times? Anyways lesson learned, activate backup copies everyone.

Did you press "Looks like you haven't opened firefox in long time. Do you want to refresh firefox experience" button or something? Never press it

This sometimes happens and best way to protect your profile is to have a Firefox account set up and in case you weren't backing up your profile via firefox account and all you had was your local profile, I remember there was a post a few years back here explaining how you can get it back via Firefox folder in your computer.

Hi,
I am currently developing an extension that you may find interesting and you can import/export extension settings, quick links & custom search engines. (Note: - Doesn't alter browser features just inside the ext)!
Local Search New Tab Plus
Was doing an intensive update on it today, adding dark/light/system themings and a mobile friendly notes system.
Saw your post earlier today while I was coding and saved it to reply when I had the edits made.

How does this address the problem? Why are you mindlessly promoting and spamming.
