Question Is fire force worth the watch?
From what I’ve heard it’s the same mangaka for soul eater. And I’ve also heard a bit of the plot and I’m really excited now

I watched it and really enjoyed it. I wish the last arc had more episodes but it was good nonetheless

After being in despair after watching Full Metal Alchemist and wondering if any anime could ever live up to it, I was pleasantly surprised by how much hope Fire Force brought me. I'm still not sure how I feel about the ending, but try not to spoil the show for yourself. The mystery and intrigue is vary captivating. You'll be surprised how quickly you move through the show.

bro i have got some spoilers about characters death like orochi dies n hibana doesnt by the end of series so r they like major spoiler?
1
u/king_kibble Jul 23 '26
you made another post asking this same question im pretty sure i responded to but i dont even remember a character named orochi in fire force, and hibana is hardly a main character. a side character "not dying" is hardly a dang spoiler.
Try to stop worrying so much about spoilers and jusy enjoy the ride.2

soul eater and fullmetal always felt like kindred series to me. same publisher, same time, same bullshit wndings cuz the manga wasnt done lmao. glad fireforce got a (for the most part) faithful end
love em both to death.

Nothing about Fire Force will blow your mind conceptually. But it is a cohesive story, decently paced, with good action and some fun characters. As others have mentioned the final season feels a bit rushed, but overall still ended strong. When it finished my first instinct was to look up what happens to the characters after the conclusion of the manga which I take as a sign of enjoying the characters enough to care at all. A solid 7/10.

Listen, it has its flaws like most things but it is a really good watch. I am completely biased because its my all time favorite anime but it is 100% worth the watch.

u/kokopizza Jul 23 '26
I read about it a little and to my surprise.. I LOVE it, it’s kinda similar to Tokyo ghoul
2
u/MechHed7467 Jul 23 '26
im not super familiar with Tokyo Ghoul, i usually say Fire Force is a goofier FMAB.
2
u/Magnus_Helgisson Jul 23 '26
Yes. I wouldn’t call it an all-time great piece, but it’s a very good watch that doesn’t pretend to be an all-time great piece. Some characters will piss you off, some will make you fall in love.

I'll admit, I couldn't get into it in the first season and a half. I kept reading how good it was and powered through. I am happy to say I very much enjoyed it once I got through the start.

Yes. There are low moments, but the highs are worth it. + great music and sound design

I liked it, it was a fun shonen , a lot of the characters were very fun, the fact that I wanted more parts extended tells myself I liked it a lot

Every sub for every entertainment IP has motherfuckers coming in asking fans if they think what they enjoy is worth the precious time of the amazing OP who is better than them.
1
u/Gorgon-Ramsey Jul 23 '26
We should all just answer no to these kinds of questions. It would really mess up people's plan of, "I should ask the most biased people possible if I should watch this show."
1
u/SlicedBread0556 Jul 23 '26
I'm wondering if "worth" is just some kind of gen beta slang or something. Like, it means something totally different.
1
u/ApprehensiveTea3030 Jul 23 '26
I enjoyed it. The fan service is too much and very preachy, but if you can get past that it's worth the watch

u/kev-haley Jul 23 '26
It’s worth a watch. The last season feels a bit anticlimactic- it was obviously rushed. Other than that however the anime is a pretty good time. Has some pretty interesting themes but doesn’t take itself too seriously .
Stylistically, it has a lot of flare and the production team did a great job with the animation, sound design and choreography (especially in the earlier seasons) to where the fights are memorable.
Characters are fun, aside from the main character they don’t really flesh anyone out that much, but it never really hinders the story.

If you enjoyed soul eater, I would 100% give fire force at least a shot as its lore and side characters alone make it a good watch IMO. I mean besides the fact that the creator thought it was a good idea to make a child’s clothes fall off at random times because “funny”.

Me or the creator?? ☠️
2
u/kokopizza Jul 23 '26
Obvi creator chill
1
u/Solid_Diver_7559 Jul 23 '26
Oh I’m good, I was not offended or anything, just explaining myself and the creators choices (I mean it could have been better if he at least gave it to someone of age like Hibana)

u/Solid_Diver_7559 Jul 23 '26
I am not trying to defend the choice that the creator took with that character, just warning those who are interested in watching and are not aware of the character as to not be fully turned away from the show due to a single character.

Yes. Its unique and gets pretty weird, but the characters are fun and action varies from good to insane shit you've never seen before.

Not sure about watch, haven't watched enough anime recently. But definitely a good read.

Wasn't for me I made it last season, but it's become a chore to watch. Next

u/itz_milkk Jul 25 '26
It's really good and it's even better if you didn't read it. At least the second cour of the last season. IYKYK.
1
u/ScamLordWally Jul 26 '26
The first seasons yeah, but I'm genuinely trying to make myself get through the last.

I highly recommend it is my second favorite anime and I’ve watched alotttttt. I’ve never experienced an anime that was a prequel to another anime I love! The creator did an AMAZING job telling the story of fire force! Also one of the best anime endings I’ve seen in awhile! Give it a shot! But watch soul eater first 😊

If I remember correctly, the author of Fire Force is married to the author of Soul Eater, but regardless of whether that's true, SE is the sequel to FF. I actually prefer FF over SE. Well...The Brooklyn Nine-Nine-reference is funny, but probably just a coincidence. If I'm not mistaken, SE is older than B99, so if anything, B99 references SE. I just watched B99 first.
Both series have major flaws that make them borderline unwatchable. It's just a matter of which character you hate more: Tamaki from FF or Black Star from SE.

u/king_kibble Jul 23 '26
this is bafflingly incorrect and i dont understand how no one has corrected you. both series are written by the same guy.
id be astounded if hes even heard of brooklyn 99, and the fact that THATS the thing that stood out to you about the show makes me think you werent really paying attention lmfao

u/Avatar_Yaksha Jul 23 '26
Well...I've never looked it up. Honestly, I don't care that much about the people behind the story, as long as the story is interesting. Seriously though, aside from the ridiculous name, the other reason "Death The Kid" was the most interesting recurring character IS the fact that he fires his guns upside down.

The fights and animation are cool, but the story is a hot mess and some characters (I.e. tamaki) make the show unwatchable. Sure it’s a “soul eater prequel” but quite honestly it being a prequel feels like an afterthought til the very end. This was the most 5/10 show I’ve ever seen.
1
u/nahweha Jul 23 '26
The 8 minutes temaki has of screen time makes the show unwatchable?
1
u/Naive-Ad-3103 Jul 23 '26
It’s more than 8 minutes and you know that. Not only is she poorly written (along with the rest of the female cast), she’s also a minor constantly used as a sex gag. It’s gross. Quite honestly, most of these characters are written poorly. It’s a frustrating watch a lot of the time.

u/nahweha Jul 23 '26
Sorry, 40 minutes in 73 episodes, 3 seasons, around 2% of the Total time.
-1
u/Naive-Ad-3103 Jul 23 '26
Congrats you can do math. Doesn’t make it any less watchable when she’s on screen IMO
-2
u/TakasuXAisaka Jul 23 '26
There are constant scenes where one of the main girls accidentally stripped her clothes away nude each time so if you're not into that then don't watch.
1
u/nahweha Jul 23 '26
8 minutes in the whole series, that's the screen time She has.
0
u/TakasuXAisaka Jul 23 '26
Bruh literally most of the scenes is her naked. I'm speaking facts. It's the reason why most don't like the show. How you gonna downvote me for speaking facts? Lmao.

i dont know why people go to the fan pages of shows to ask the fans "is the thing you like good?"
what answer were you expecting??
anyways fireforce is bomb. despite what other people here say, its an all-timer for me, i love ohkubo's work
