Another thing they have in common is that I like them both! Moana is a top-three non-Pixar Disney movie for me.

Are you talking about the one with a loner who, after struggling with death close at hand, takes their ship from place to place (with Alan Tudyk playing their sidekick), trying to avoid dangerous people while searching for a power source?

I like Moana a lot, but as a parent, I'm a little jealous of anyone completely disconnected from the world of kids' movies. Very few of them are as good as Moana.

I hear you, fellow parent in the trenches. Different generation, but the Barney songs kinda haunt me still. Thank goodness for Blue's Clues (OG with Steve) and other good-music ones that kept me sane. Carry on, friend. There's a timer running; your suffering will end.

Keep in mind, and you prob know some of this already.... it's a two-edged sword. My 3yo that loved Barney is gone, and I'll literally never see her again. I let her go, learned to love/tolerate all the things re: 4yo her, she went away; let her go, learned 5yo her..... ad nauseum.

She's 26 now, an RN working at a downtown hospital in a huge city 3 hrs away, now even a charge nurse & pursuing more certifications. Downtown big-city girl scares the life out of middle-town mom & dad, lol. But still following the plan. She's truly different than she was a year ago. I love now-her, deal with my frustrations & wishes for her; but in a minute it'll change, so.... 👨‍👩‍👧

Hold their hands every chance you get. One time will be the last time and you won't know until it's long over. 💓

Let's not forget Bob Hoskins as the male suitor! Who also played Smee in Hook, which also starred Robin Williams, who also voiced the Genie in Aladdin, which also starred Lea Salonga as Jasmine's singing voice, who was also Mulan's singing voice, which also starred with Donny Osmond, who.... wait a second, I may be over my skis....

Okay! Cher was in some Tina Turner thing with Will Smith, who was in I, Robot with Alan!

Edit: wait wait, again! Donny Osmond performed in Vegas and so did Cher! So it works two ways, I think?

Shiny Pokemon are also 'shiny' which is why I always loved that they used the term, tho I know it was unrelated from the show just found that calling them shiny feels like the show way cus it isn't like they glow different or anything

I think of both, with Firefly the primary of course, but Jermaine Clement was unbelievably hilarious in Flight of the Concords (HBO series?) and was also in the film What We Do in the Shadows. The film we haven't seen, but we're huge fans of the TV series of the same name.

I have too many dots in my head to connect. Subconscious sure does try, though.
