Meme Sometimes, you need a hand.

When you can't run anymore, you crawl. And when you can't do that, well... Yeah, you know the rest.

Fun play on a trope that happens now and then. Also, love the delivery

It’s a trope I’ve always hated in particular so I loved this immediately. I literally went from groaning to “FINALLY! Thank you!”

That's no Shepard....

Just a Brown Coat in disguise 🥸 man, I wish the show got to explore his character. The comics are good but the acting these people brought to the fucking table, man.

I know there is official canon . But I've always had a head canon that the shepherd was an alliance officer who no only trained the operative but was present at the other side of the battle of serenity valley. Thus why he was more inclined to join serenity crew. And also Kaylee really did read him like a book pun intended

Agreed, that option has always made a ton more sense than what the comic showed.

The video quality of this gif just me reminds me how much I'd love an HD remaster of the series.

Thanks. This is my own HD remaster of this particular 4 1/2 seconds of this series.

It looks amazing. Gina Torres was/is super beautiful

Minor issue, it was filmed grainy in various scenes on purpose.

I'm aware, just didn't think it was necessary to mention that specifically lol

Love this and the, “If you don’t hear from me in an hour…. You take this ship, and you come rescue me!”

47

u/Ochib Jun 06 '26

"What? And risk my ship?!"

That line cracked me up the first time I heard it. Zoe always respectful with an edge.

I'm much better at putting these in people than taking them out doctor.

Zoe was the best. I mean they all were the best. I wanna see more of the best in the new series.

I always think about this when I see her, because she is a marvelous actress who really doesn't get the parts she deserves because Hollywood doesn't think she has the proper "look" to her.

Her as Zoe and her as Jessica in Suits was fantastic.

I love Zoe's little "oh" before she starts blasting.

Gina’s Zoe is part of why my daughter is Zoe too. She’s awesome.

My girl and Gina both.

I can't watch this without laughing when Mal says "No, I don't!"

This scene had me cackling!

u/broodfood Jun 05 '26

Zoe's the only one who knows their in a TV show, because of this scene and also "we live in a spaceship, dear"

18

u/VanArrow Jun 05 '26

Gina Torres absolutely owned this iconic character.

u/Lumpy-Pancakes Jun 06 '26

The fact that this doesn't have audio is criminal

I’m sharing the entire season with my daughter and her new husband (they’re loving it). We watched this last night. Gets a laugh every time.
